Prestwick House Meets Schools’
Needs in Economic Crunch with Individual eLesson Sales
Smyrna, DE, September 9, 2009 — This week, Delaware publishing company, Prestwick
House, will introduce a new line of individual eLessons in response to teachers’
needs in the current economic climate.
Over the past
five years, Prestwick
House has become a leader in e-book sales in the
educational arena with over 1,500 different downloadables available at their
website and recently introduced a new line of e-books based on best-selling Literary
Touchstone Classic editions.
In an increasingly tech-savvy school environment, Prestwick
House sales have also grown significantly due to their variety of downloadable
teaching guides; full, PDF versions of products that teachers can conveniently
download within seconds of purchase.
“Customer feedback shows that teachers love the
ability to immediately download and print teaching materials,” says Prestwick House Production Manager, Jerry Clark.
“It gives them the freedom to purchase the products they need exactly when they
need them.”
Now, in response to overwhelming demand, Prestwick
House will further expand its collection of downloadable e-materials to include
new eLessons.
Prestwick House eLessons, available in downloadable
PDF format, are single lessons excerpted from existing Prestwick House teaching
resources that contain a variety of subject matter spanning literature,
reading, writing, and grammar.
“In
conjunction with company initiatives to provide teaching resources that work
well in a 21st century classroom, we found several additional
benefits for our teachers in selling individual lessons online,” says Prestwick
House CEO, Jason Scott. “Not only are teachers able to save money by buying
lessons individually and avoiding shipping charges, but they will also be able
to customize curriculum using our materials in a way that simply wasn’t
possible before.”
