Catcher in the Rye

Based on personal encounters, I suspect that if graduates were polled as to which of the novels they studied in high school had the greatest impact on them, this Salinger classic would be one of the most frequently mentioned. Students find this coming of age story an easy and enjoyable read and one they can relate to.
