We at Prestwick House are proud to announce that Reading Informational Texts Level 7 has arrived.

Reading Informational Texts Level 7 is the newest entry in the Reading Informational Texts series, which targets the skills students need to read and analyze works of literary nonfiction, including court opinions, historical documents, speeches, and essays.

Like the other books in the series, Reading Informational Texts Level 7 contains multiple nonfiction texts that have been annotated by our writing staff. These annotations point out essential aspects of the texts, including historical context, rhetorical techniques, structure, logical arguments, and more.

The four texts in Reading Informational Texts Level 7 are:

  • John Adams: Letter on Thomas Jefferson
  • C. P. Gilmore: “The Incredible Ruby Ray” (Popular Science Monthly)
  • John Albert Macy: “A Supplemental Account of Helen Keller’s Life and Education: Personality” (From Helen Keller’s autobiography The Story of My Life)
  • Booker T. Washington: Up From Slavery, Chapter I (“A Slave Among Slaves”)
