Our Literary Touchstone Classics are unabridged, complete texts, and come with unbelievable prices. Each book is a value-priced, high-quality trade paperback, which you will receive for at least 50% off retail.

Your students will benefit from:

  • Reading pointers highlighting themes and providing background;
  • Line numbers and sidebar notes in every Shakespeare play;
  • A glossary defining difficult vocabulary, allusions, etc.;
  • Prices so low that students can annotate their own books.

Sturdy bindings, premium paper, and American construction ensure that you get the most out of your Literary Touchstone Classic. They are perfect for any classroom or library.

This edition includes the complete text of Shelley's revised 1831 edition as well as the original preface from the 1818 edition.

Excellent, well made book with vocabulary and notes. Easy to find the alternate preface online, so no problems for me with the edition, and the annotated teacher’s guide is an excellent resource. Wish they mad more of the annotated guides.

Thank you for pointing this out Ms. Grey. This is indeed the entire text of the 1831 edition with the inclusion of the original preface from 1818 which is generally not included in printings of the later text. All Prestwick House Literature guides refer only to the text and make no references to the preface and should work fine with this or any other 1831 edition of the text. If you feel the need to contact our CS department regarding an issue with one of these products, please email us at info@prestwickhouse.com, and we'll take care of any issues right away.

teacher beware. The teacher guides are built around this book that include the preface from the 1818 edition, but the story is from the 1831 edition. There are enough differences to make the teacher guide practically incompatible with any other text.
